At 10:18 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, officers were dispatched to Proprietors Crossing on a report that juveniles were inside an under-construction house, without permission, and were drinking alcohol, police said.

The property owner recorded the license plate of a vehicle that was seen leaving the property and then found 53 cans of Bud Light in a cooler in the master bedroom, police said.

Officers began an investigation and issued summonses to three 16-year-old New Canaan boys and two 17-year-old New Canaan boys, police said.

Each was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and second-degree trespass.

Their names were withheld because of their ages.

The cases were referred to the Juvenile Matters Division of state Superior Court.
