Man Arrested On 2008 DWI Charge In Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – A 77-year-old Stamford, Conn., man turned himself in Tuesday on a 4-year-old arrest warrant charging him with driving while intoxicated, Port Chester police said.

According to Lt. Jim Ladeairous, spokesman for the department, the attorney for Andrew Mruczek of 833 Summer St. called his client to say he had an outstanding warrant stemming from an incident in July 2008. In addition to the misdemeanor DWI charge, Mruczek had also been charged with one headlight out and no seatbelt, both misdemeanors.

Also from the Port Chester Police Department:

A Port Chester man found asleep with his foot on the brake of running car in the middle of Bent Avenue was arrested and charged with DWI, police said. Ladeairous said it took officers several minutes to wake Anthony Marrero, 25, of 7 West St., in his Lexus around 4 a.m. Friday. He was arrested on charges of DWI and aggravated driving while intoxicated, both misdemeanors.
