Four Car Break-Ins Reported In Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Four cars sitting unlocked in driveways were broken into overnight Tuesday into Wednesday in Port Chester, police said.

Around 9 a.m., Wednesday, police received a report of a car broken into on Upland Street. A Seiko watch was taken along with loose change. Shortly after that, police received another report of a break-in on nearby Pilgrim Drive. The resident reported toys and other presents missing from the unlocked car.

Two more cars were broken into at a home on Burdsall Drive. Two wireless headsets worth $300 and a box of cigars worth $350 were stolen from the unlocked cars. Lt. Jim Ladeairous, spokesman for the Port Chester Police department is urging residents to lock their cars, even when parked in the driveway.
