PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- A 70-year-old man hit an 85-year-old woman with his car on Willett Avenue in Port Chester on Saturday, police said.
The driver was making a right turn from Marvin Place onto Willett Avenue when the woman banged into the side of his car, according to Lt. James Ladeairous. The incident took place under the railroad bridge, where there are no pedestrian crossing areas, he said.
The woman suffered cuts to her face and pain in her left shoulder, he said, and was taken to Stamford Hospital for treatment. Ladeairous said the driver was not issued any citations.
