William 'Duke' Santora, 91, Of Port Chester; World War II Veteran

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- William "Duke" A. Santora, 91, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Saturday, Jan. 31.

Born April 6, 1923, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Gertrude Mancuso Santora.

He served in the field artillery with the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. Santora was a retired supervisor for the Lifesavers Company in Port Chester.

Survivors include two sisters, Sally Santora and Lucille Acocella, both of Port Chester; and one brother, Anthony “Duke” (Mary Lou) Santora of Yorktown.

He was predeceased by one brother, James, and three sisters, Josephine Russo, Donata Guilmette, and Mildred Stewart.

Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Craft Memorial Home , 40 Leicester St., Port Chester.

Funeral service and burial will be private.
