PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - William C. Brown III of Port Chester died July 28. He was 64.
Brown was born Oct. 29, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Jane (nee Reinstatler) and William C. Brown Jr. He was raised in Cincinnati and attended Elder High School before graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in sociology. He earned his MBA from Southern Illinois University and his JD from Fordham Law School. He was a pilot in the United States Air Force and a Vietnam veteran before working in the field of aviation litigation for over 35 years. He was a longtime member of Coveleigh Club. He had been a parishioner at the Church of Our Lady of Mercy since 1979.
Brown is survived by his wife, Maureen (nee Cummings); children, Ryan (Rebecca), Scott (Nina), Heather (Michael) Smith, Meghan (Edouard), and Shannon; six grandchildren; sisters, Carole (Thomas) Oblinger, Noel (Gregory) Davis, Jeannine (Michael) McNeil, Bridget (Michael) Dwyer, and Michelle (Jeffrey) Siefke; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
Calling hours are Thursday, July 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home in Rye. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1 at Church of Our Lady of Mercy in Port Chester. There will be a private interment at a later date.
