Samuel Genovese, 90, of Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Samuel J. Genovese, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Sunday, July 8. He was 90.

A World War II veteran, Genovese retired from Empire Brush and Pitney Bowes. He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church and a caddy at Tamarack Country Club for many years. He was married to Vera Genovese, who predeceased him.

Genovese is survived by two daughters, Sally Ann (Rocco) Morabito and Susan Genovese Taylor; a sister-in-law, Edith (Benny) Langworth; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich, Conn.
