Strange was born March 25, 1914, in Port Chester. After graduating from Port Chester High School, Strange attended Syracuse University.
She met her husband George W. Strange, Jr. while working as a bank teller in Port Chester. After her husband's death during World War II, Strange returned to her family's farm on Beech Grove Road in Prompton, Pa., where she resided for the rest of her life.
She is survived by her daughter Christy Ann Strange of Virginia City, Nev., a granddaughter and her spouse, and two great-grandchildren.
Strange was predeceased by her husband, George and their infant son, Donald Steven and her brothers Carlton, Irwin, WIlliam, Ralph and David.
Interment will take place at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye.
Donations in Strange's memory can be sent to the Wayne County Historical Society in Honesdale, Penn.
Jenkins Funeral Home will handle cremation arrangements.
