Richard M. Larsen, 73, Of Rye Brook, Port Chester Electric Superintendent

RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Richard M. Larsen, a resident of Rye Brook and formerly of Greenwich, died July 26. He was 73.

Larsen was born March 21, 1940, in Port Chester, to Steven and Loretta Horrigan Larsen. He was raised and educated in Greenwich graduating from Greenwich High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1968. He was a member of the Port Chester American Legion.

He was an electrician and ended his career as general superintendent of Port Chester Electric Inc. and then for five years worked as an electrical consultant for IBM Trade Shows.

Larsen is survived by his wife, Karine Larsen of Rye Brook; daughter, Kari Fonss (Kristian) of Ashburn, Va.; two grandchildren; brother, Steven Larsen of Greenwich; and a niece and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Pat Crawford.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40, Leicester St., Port Chester. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery Rye.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to Volunteers of America.
