Retired Port Chester Teacher Kevin Del Campo, 65

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Kevin Michael Del Campo, a retired Port Chester teacher, died Aug. 13. He was 65. 

A former Yonkers resident, Del Campo retired from Port Chester High School in 2007 after working 34 years as a teacher and counselor. He was an active member of the Port Chester Teachers Association and a 20-year member of the Westchester Putnam College Conference Committee. 

Del Campo spent many years coaching baseball. Most recently of Carmel, he was a member of the Kent Library Board of Trustees and the Sons of Italy. 

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Ann Lanzaro Del Campo; two children, Amy and Kevin, and their families; and four siblings and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Balsamo-Cordovano Funeral Home in Carmel. A funeral home chapel service will be held Friday at 7 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ann's Place in Danbury, Conn., which provides free services to people with cancer and their families, or Hospice of Westchester and Putnam.
