Paul E. LaBella, 84, Of Port Chester, Self-Employed Carpenter

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Paul E. LaBella, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Dec. 4. He was 84.

LaBella was born July 29, 1930, in Port Chester, to William and Sadie Sabia LaBella. He was raised and educated in Port Chester graduating from Port Chester High School in 1948. He served in the United States Army in Korea during the war. He was a carpenter having been with the carpenters union in Port Chester and then was self-employed. He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church and a member of the Port Chester Knights of Columbus.

LaBella is survived by his wife, Catherine LaBella of Port Chester; sons, William P. LaBella (partner, Tammy Brown) of Redding and Jerry LaBella (partner, Anne Rea) of Greenwich; four grandchildren; and sister, Carmella Sorbara of Port Chester. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Catherine Vincoli.

Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent St., Port Chester. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook.

Memorial donations in memory of LaBella may be made to the Corpus Christi Church.
