PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Nicola D. Spedaliere, 94, of Port Chester, died Wednesday, June 24.

He was a son of the Giuseppe and Maria Luisa Bucci Spedaliere of Montorio Nei Frentani, Campobasso, Italy.

Spedaliere served in the Italian Army during World War II.

Before immigrating to the United States, he also served with the Italian State Police.

He then worked as a landscaper, and as a baker at Arnold’s Bakery in Greenwich, Conn.

Spedaliere was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Gina (Joe) Costanzo of Croton-on-Hudson and Anna (George) Marcin of Port Chester; a son, Joseph (Marina) Spedaliere of Greenwich; a sister, Teresa Campanelli of the Bronx; a brother-in-law, Joseph Varamo of Port Chester; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

His wife, Maria Giovanna Malizia Spedaliere, preceded him in death.

Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, at the Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester St., Port Chester.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Monday, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 22 Don Bosco Place, Port Chester.

Interment will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Fund-Home Hospice, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 10461.
