Patafio was raised and educated in Port Chester, and graduated from Port Chester High School in 1955. She was a parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church.
She "adored animals and enjoyed crafting and crocheting afghans and baby blankets for friends and family," according to obituary information from Craft Memorial Home. "Later in life she loved spending time with her good friend Maria Giannios and her family."
Patafio is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Patafio of Brooklyn; brother Anthony Briganti and his wife Nanci of Port Chester; and granddaughter Katherine. She was predeceased by her husband, Umberto Patafio, and her parents, Anthony and Mary Briganti.
Visiting hours will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, at Craft Memorial Home, 40 Leicester St., in Port Chester. A mass will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 26, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave., in Port Chester, with interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, in Rye Brook.
