"She was an example of true selflessness and a loving Catholic, always putting others before herself," according to obituary information from Legacy.com. "She had a way with words and a true gift of communicating even with a passing stranger, who was sure to become a friend."
Prorokovic enjoyed spending time with her pug, Bella, crafting chocolates and creating beautiful gift baskets.
She is survived by her children, Christopher and Erica Prorokovic; parents John and Margaret Zgombic; sister and brother-in-law Andrea and Bruce Marsanico; and nieces and nephew, Vicki, Andrea, Bruce and great-nephew Luca.
She was the wife of Tony Prorokovic.
A viewing will be from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home, in Long Island City. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 28, at a time to be announced, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, in Astoria. Interment will be at St. Charles Cemetery, in Farmingdale.
