RIDGEFIELD, Conn. - Marie Franchella, a resident of Ridgefield, Conn., and formerly of Port Chester, N.Y., died March 5. She was 82.
Franchella was born May 9, 1930, in Port Chester, a daughter of Alfred and Lena Bertino Fiumano. Raised and educated in Port Chester, she was a homemaker and member of Founders Hall in Ridgefield.
Franchella is survived by her sons, Dominic Franchella of Norwalk, Conn., and Peter Franchella of Rye, N.Y.; a daughter, Nina Zvon of Ridgefield; sisters Angela Alleva of Rye Brook, N.Y., and Dolores Fiumano of Port Chester, N.Y.; and by eight grandchildren.
Calling hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent St., Port Chester, N.Y. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook, N.Y.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital Memphis Tenn.
