PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Maria Addolorata Capocci, a resident of Port Chester, died Monday. She was 91.
She was born Oct. 21, 1923 in Picinisco, Italy to Gerardo and Christina DeMarco. She was married to Giacinto Capocci on April 24, 1949 in Italy.
Capocci was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and was considered the head of the family.
She is survived by her children Gerald Capocci and wife Josephine of Greenwich, Anna Massarella and husband Albert of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Emily Conetta and husband Joseph of Darien, Christopher Capocci and wife Sarah, Michael Massarella and wife Alesia, Christina Conetta and Nicholas Conetta. She is also survived by six grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 29, at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Friday Jan. 30, at Corpus Christi Church 136 South Regent St., Port Chester. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook. Memorial donations in memory of Capocci may be made to the Corpus Christi Church.
