Josephine Mastrangelo, 94, Former Longtime Port Chester Resident

GREENACRES, Fla. - Josephine Mastrangelo of Greenacres, a former longtime resident of Port Chester, N.Y., and Greenwich, Conn., died Aug. 31. She was 94.

Mastrangelo was born Jan. 1, 1920, in Port Chester, to Peter and Diana Messina. She was a longtime resident of Port Chester and Greenwich.

Mastrangelo is survived by her daughter, Maria Elena "Murph" Cassone; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Felix Mastrangelo Jr.; son, Nicholas Felix "Gigi" Mastrangelo III; son-in-law, James J Cassone; and siblings, Connie "Didi" Fallanca, Joseph Messina, Mary Ferarro and Louis Messina.

A short service in Mastrangelo’s honor will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at St. Mary's Cemetery, 1 High St., Port Chester, where she will be laid to rest with her husband and son.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Mastrangelo's name to a hospice.
