PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Johnna Paladino Roca of Port Chester died Nov. 8. She was 47.

Roca was born Oct. 28, 1966, in the Bronx, to Jerry and Jean (DiMirco) Paladino. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Yonkers, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Fine Arts, and Master of Art Education from the College of New Rochelle.

Roca worked as assistant director of media and photographic services at the College of New Rochelle for nine years. She worked as a freelance photographer throughout the years. She volunteered with the Parent Teacher Organizations in the Port Chester School District. She was a religious education teacher and first taught at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers and later at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. She was an Executive Board Member of the Port Chester High School Marching Band, and a longtime member of the Paint the Town Pink Committee which promotes breast cancer awareness and is part of the Stamford Hospital Bennett Cancer Center.

Roca is survived by her husband, Christopher; daughters, Isabella, Mikaela, Ariana and Natasha; father, Jerry Paladino; sisters, Jessica (Dominick) Fortuna, Jina (Mark) Tetro, and Jaime (Max) Mobiglia; in-laws; 14 nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles; cousins; and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Jean; and brother, Dominick.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11 and Tuesday, November 12 at the Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave., Port Chester.
