John T. Bykowski, 69, Of Port Chester

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – John T. Bykowski, a lifelong resident of Port Chester, died Tuesday, June 16. He was 69.

Bykowski was born on Feb. 5, 1946 to John and Mary Witas Bykowski.

He graduated from Port Chester High School in 1964 and worked as a carpenter at the Electrolux Corporation in Old Greenwich, Conn., eventually going into business as a self-employed carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Fuss) Bykowski, five children, John Bykowski, of Port Chester, Karen Johansen and husband, Tim, of Port Chester, Lori Reid and husband, Matthew of Clarence, N.Y., Joann Bykowski and David Warner, of Port Chester, and Patricia Bykowski, of Port Chester; grandchildren William and Sarah Reid, one sister, Sister Christine Marie, of Castleton-on-Hudson, and a brother Richard Bykowski and his wife Georgiann of Sarasota, Fla.

He was predeceased by a brother, Stanley

Visiting hours will be on 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 19, at Craft Memorial Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, at Sacred Heart Church, Henry Street in Greenwich.

Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery in Rye Brook.
