PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- John Steven O'Sullivan of Port Chester, formerly of New Rochelle, died Sept. 27. He was 65.
He was raised in Port Chester, graduating from Archbishop Stepinac High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1968-74 serving in Vietnam. He and his late wife Barbara were active members of the New Rochelle Knights of Columbus.
He was predeceased by his father Jack O'Sullivan and his wife, Barbara Ann Dones.
He is survived by his mother, Claire Dudas O'Sullivan O'Sullivan of Port Chester, sisters Kathy Bender and husband John of Charlotte, N.C.; and Shelia Caporizo and husband Jim of Stamford, Conn.; nieces and nephews, Christopher Caporizo, Jamie Caporizo, Lauren Caporizo, Kate Bender and Tim Bender and wife Hayley and great-nephew Everett Bender.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, Sept. 29, at Craft Memorial Home Inc., 40 Leicester St., Port Chester.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave. Port Chester.
Interment will be private at Calverton National Cemetery.
