Joanne Nastro, 63, Former Native Of Port Chester

DANBURY, Conn. - Joanne Nastro of Danbury, formerly of Greenwich and Ridgefield, died Monday, Dec. 23. She was 63.

Nastro was born March 23, 1950, in Port Chester, N.Y.; daughter of Rocco Vito and Ida Michelina (Giannotti) Bellfatto. Raised in Port Chester, she graduated from Port Chester schools and attended Iona College. She was a former interior designer with the U.S. Tobacco Corporation at their former Greenwich location. She was a resident of the area for the past 20 years.

Nastro is survived by her husband, Frank Nastro; son, John Paul Thygerson (Lisa); daughters, Cori Nastro of Dallas, Texas, Kimberly Nastro of New York. N.Y., and Francesca Nastro of Ridgefield; two grandchildren; brother, Salvatore "Teddy" Bellfatto of Danbury; sister, Sandra Pears of Bradenton, Fla.; father in law, Sal Nastro (Stephanie) of Darien; a niece and two nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; stepfather, George "Mike" Mikuls; and sister-in-law, Valentina Bellfatto. Calling hours are Friday, Dec. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah St., Ridgefield. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28 in the First Congregational Church of Ridgefield, 103 Main St., Ridgefield. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
