Florence E. Byrnes, 95, Of Rye Brook, WWII Veteran

RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Florence E. Byrnes, a resident of Rye Brook, died June 22. She was 95.

Byrnes was born April 17, 1919, in Bridgeport, Conn., to Carl and Tyyne Lindhom. She was raised and educated in Greenwich. She served in the United States Navy during World War II.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Byrnes is survived by her sons, George Jr., John and David Byrnes, daughters Rosemary Bricker, Susan Byrnes, Ann Russo, Katherine Spizzirri and Jean Adler, brother John Lindholm and 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and husband, She was married to the late George Byrnes, Sr. who died October 9, 2003.

Calling hours are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, Comley Ave., Rye Brook. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook.
