Ernest Sorbara, 80, Master Bricklayer For The Port Chester School District

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Ernest Sorbara of Port Chester died Nov. 15. He was 80.

Sorbara was born Jan. 17, 1933, to Rosina and Leonard Sorbara. He served in the Korean War.  He was a master bricklayer and worked for the Port Chester School District.

Sorbara is survived by his wife, Carmella LaBella Sorbara; son, Leonard (Lisa) Sorbara; daughters, Rosemary (Nick) DeRuvo, Sandra (Joe) DiPietro and Maria (Rob) Schaab; 12 grandchildren; brother, Leonard Sorbara (Bonnie) of Port Chester; many nieces and nephews; and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers, Jerome and Anthony Sorbara.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 S. Regent St., Port Chester. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Greenwich, Conn.
