Ellen M. King, Of Port Chester, Mamaroneck, 83

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Ellen Marie King, a former Port Chester and Mamaroneck resident, died Monday, Feb. 2. She was 83.

She was born in New York City on April 17, 1931, to Martin E. King Sr. and Marie King. She graduated from Most Holy Trinity School, St. Gabriel's High School and Good Counsel College in White Plains.

She received a master's degree from Fordham University and taught in Elmsford for more than 30 years.

She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Martin E. King Jr.

She is survived by nephews and nieces, Martin E. King III, Kathleen Griffith (Tom), Elizabeth King, Thomas and Jack Griffith; and a sister-in-law Charlotte King.

To honor King's life, family and friends will gather on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 4-8 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. at Sts. John and Paul Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
