RYE BROOK, N.Y. - David Stanley Corcoran, Jr. of Rye Brook died Wednesday, Oct. 25. He was 91.
Corcoran was born in 1922, in San Francisco, to D. Stanley Corcoran and Jane Agnes Murray Corcoran. He joined the Army Air Core in World War II, as a pilot of B17 and B29's. He took over his father's importing business as a young man, then joining the Catholic priesthood at 70 years old (known later in life as Father Stan). He was president of the New York City Rotary Club from 1960 to 1961 and life member of the New York Athletic Club. He was a Yonkers, New York councilman to the 13th Ward and Yonkers vice mayor in the 1960's.
Corcoran is survived by his children, David Stanley of White Plains, Thomas of Stamford, Conn., Patrick of Norwalk, Conn., Terence of Port Chester, Sheila Bruenn of Mahopac and Jane of Port Chester; two grandchildren; and many extended Corcoran family in California and Ireland. he was predeceased by his wife, Josephine Denby.
Funeral services will be at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. followed by a burial at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye. A private family viewing at the Graham Funeral Home will precede the funeral.
