Connecticut State Trooper Danielle Miller Killed In Crash

A Connecticut State Police trooper was killed in an off-duty automobile crash Saturday night, police announced Sunday morning.

Trooper Danielle Miller died of injuries sustained during an off-duty motor vehicle accident in Wolcott, according to police.

Miller was assigned to Troop L in Litchfield and was a member of the 124th Training Troop, graduating from the Connecticut State Police Academy Dec. 11, 2014. 

"We are grateful for her dedicated service to the Connecticut State Police and the residents of Connecticut, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time," state police said in a statement.

Further details have not yet been released, nor have funeral arrangements.
