Catherine V. Masi, 89, Of Rye Brook

RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Catherine V. Masi, a resident of Rye Brook, died Aug. 26. She was 89.

Masi was born April 4, 1924, in Port Chester, to Daniel and Lena Tropeano Vecchiolla. She graduated from Port Chester High School in 1942. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church.

Masi is survived by her children, Frank Masi (Marie) of Harrison, Daniel Masi (Diane) of Congers, Rose Callaghan of Pompton Plains, N.J., John Masi (Jo-Anne) of Port Chester, Lee Masi (Margaret) of Port Chester, and Annette Morlino (Sal) of Rye Brook; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters Antoinette DiSalvo of Long Island and Gina Burrell of Saint Augustine, Fla. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Angelo Masi; brother Albert Vecchiolla; son-in-law, Eugene J. Callaghan; and granddaughter, Deirdra Masi.

Calling hours are from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent St., Port Chester. Entombment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook.
