Davis was born Jan. 2, 1923, in the Bronx, to Arthur E. Davis and Henrique Goettsche Davis. He was raised and educated in the Bronx, graduating from Mount Saint Michael High School in 1941. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He was an advisory staff architect for IBM. for 43 years, retiring in 1988.
Davis is survived by his children, Arthur F. Davis, Jr. (Terry), Richard Davis (Laureen), Laura Davis and Gregory Davis (Patricia); five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Anne; and sisters, Muriel Baudet and Regina Magel.
Calling hours are from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15 at Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Ave., Greenwich. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye.
Memorial donations in memory of Davis may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
