Ann Talia, 90, Former Port Chester Resident

MAHOPAC, N.Y. – Ann Talia, a resident of Mahopac and former longtime resident of Port Chester, died Sunday, March 27. She was 90.

She was born Feb. 22, 1926, in New Britain, Conn., to Thomas and Anna Pavano Bascetta. 

She was married on Jan. 30, 1948, to Carmen Talia.

She was a beautician at the Port Chester Nursing Home and a parishioner of Holy Rosary and Corpus Christi Church She was an artist and enjoyed painting portraits and landscapes.

She is survived by her son, John Talia and his wife, Nancy, of Mahopac; daughter Annamaria Frattaroli and her husband, Louis, of Barnegat, N. J.; sister, Lucy DeLuca of Greenwich, Conn.; grandchildren John Talia, Lauren Talia, Louis Frattaroli and Michael Frattaroli; and four great-grandchildren.

Her husband died in 2005 and she also was predeceased by one brother and six sisters.

Visitation will take place Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Craft Memorial Home, Inc., 40 Leicester St., Port Chester. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave., Port Chester. Interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye.
