YONKERS, N.Y. -- Mayra Avila from Yonkers, N.Y., is competing this weekend in the 2014 Miss New York USA Pageant.
The pageant will be held at the Purchase College Performing Arts Center in Harrison, N.Y., on Friday, Jan. 17 through Sunday, Jan. 19.
Avila is 25 years old and is the daughter of Julio and Monica Avila.
