Greenberg has assumed the role of director of the Joan and Alan Herfort, M.D. Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

Greenberg is well known as one of the region’s top cardiologists and is repeatedly named among Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. and New York Magazine’s Top Doctors.

Most recently Montefiore Health System's director of interventional cardiology, he will oversee all clinical operations of the White Plains Hospital's catheterization laboratory, which provided nearly 1,300 emergency and elective cardiac catheterizations in 2013.

“We are very fortunate and truly delighted to welcome Dr. Greenberg to White Plains Hospital,” said Susan Fox, hospital president. “His extensive expertise and exceptional clinical skills will translate into unparalleled patient care in cardiac catheterizations here in Westchester, and he will be an invaluable resource in helping us continue to build on this very successful program.”

Greenberg said, “It is a great privilege for me to be joining the staff of what has been my family’s own trusted community hospital.”

“I’ve been tremendously impressed with the remarkable growth of this institution over the past several years, and I’m very proud to be aligning myself with the extraordinary care they provide.”

As a result of White Plains Hospital’s newly established strategic partnership with the Montefiore Health System, patients who require heart surgery following angioplasty will benefit from the clinical services of the renowned Cardiac Surgery Program at the Montefiore Einstein Center for Heart and Vascular Care.
