What's on the Agenda in Port Chester and Rye Brook

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Here's a listing of some of the upcoming events in Rye Brook and Port Chester this week.

Tuesday

-The Village of Rye Brook's Parks and Recreation Department will hold a meeting at 8 p.m. in the back conference room at the Village Hall located on 938 King St.

-Rye Brook's Board of Trustees will also meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Hall. Among the topics to be discussed are the amending of a local parking law, the re-designation of polling locations and hours for elections and the consideration of the appointment of a Village Risk Manager.

Wednesday

-The Village of Port Chester's Industrial Development Agency will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Hall conference room located at 222 Grace Church St. The IDA is made up of seven members including Trustee Joseph Kenner and Mayor Dennis Pilla.

-Port Chester will also hold a Recreation Commission meeting at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center at the Village Hall on Grace Church Street. The commission acts as a liaison between the Board of Trustees and the community on recreation activities in the village.

-Port Chester's Park Commission will meet at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the Senior Center.

Thursday

-Both Rye Brook and Port Chester's mayors and village administrators will gather, along with Rye Town Supervisor Joe Carvin, at 7 p.m. in the Mamaroneck Village Hall located on 169 Mount Pleasant Ave. for the second public forum discussing the baseline report for the Rye Town Dissolution Feasibility Study.

-Rye Brook's Planning Board will hold a meeting at 8 p.m. in the main conference room at the Village Hall. One item currently in front of the Planning Board is legislation regarding flood mitigation on Bowman Avenue in Rye.

-Rye Brook's Technology and Communication Commission will meet at 8 p.m. the Village Hall. The commission is responsible for acting as a liaison between Cablevision and the village as well as advising the village on the development and application of new technology.
