What's Happening in Port Chester This Weekend

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Movies in the park and student performances are just some of the events happening in Port Chester and Rye Brook this weekend.

Friday, May 18

Rye Brook Recreation Movie Night: 8 p.m. Rye Brook's Recreation Department will host a free screening of the movie "The Zookeeper" in Pine Ridge Park. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Drive and Mohegan Lane, Rye Brook.

"Catch a Rising Star" Musical Theater Night: 7 p.m. Port Chester Schools OASIS after-school program students are putting on a night of musical theater and fun at the Edison School. Admission is $3 and "goodies" will be sold. Edison School Gymnasium , 113 Rectory St., Port Chester.

Saturday, May 19

Playland Craft Fair: Noon. Playland Amusement Park's craft fair begins around the Boardwalk and the fountain. The event will continue every weekend through the summer. Playland, 1 Playland Parkway, Rye.

Sunday, May 20

Bike to the Y Day : 10:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. The Rye YMCA is offering a triumvirate of cycling activities to celebrate the health of your body and your Earth. The first 75 cyclists who arrive at the YMCA will receive free bike bells. To register click here . Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Ave., Rye.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Management Class: 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. This daylong class at the Rye YMCA provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage lifeguards and to create an environment that keeps patrons, lifeguards and the aquatic facility safe. Registration is $110 for members and $120 for nonmembers. Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Avenue, Rye.
