What's Happening in Port Chester This Weekend

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - A high school musical, an indoor farmers market and a gardening workshop are just some of the events going on in the Port Chester area this weekend.

Friday

- PCHS Spring Musical "All Shook Up", 7:30 p.m.

Port Chester High School's drama club presents its spring musical "All Shook Up," which is inspired by and features music from Elvis Presley. Admission is $10 and there will be additional showings at 12:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The shows will take place in the high school auditorium located at 1 Tamarack Road.

Saturday

- Rye Brook Indoor Farmers Market, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Rye Brook's Indoor Farmers Market offers everything from fresh vegetables, to flavored pastas, to homemade pepper sauces, to handmade jewelry. The market also features a cooking demonstration from Port Chester personal chef Maria Reina. The market will be held in the AJP Senior Center located at 32 Garibaldi Place in Rye Brook.

- Middle School Black Night Light, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Area middle school students donned in white and neon clothing are invited to the Rye YMCA to light up the night. The event will feature a DJ and admission is only $5. The YMCA will also be providing free glow sticks, necklaces and pizza. 

- Friends of Ernie Family Dinner, 7 p.m.

Members of the public are invited to the Knights of Columbus Council Hall located at 327 Westchester Ave. for a buffet dinner featuring roasted chicken, penne and meatballs, broiled salmon and more. Tickets are $25.

 Sunday

- Family Garden Workshop, 12 p.m.

The Rye Nature Center is partnering with the Rye YMCA to offer a series of workshops that focus on the healthy, ecological and nutritional benefits of gardening at home. Mike Krug will lead the workshop. The suggested age is kids 5 to 12. The event takes place at the Rye Nature Center, 873 Boston Post Road, Rye.
