PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - From municipal meetings to community gatherings, here's what's happening in Port Chester and Rye Brook this week.

Monday, May 21

Port Chester Board of Trustees: 7 p.m. Port Chester's Village Board of Trustees will meet. All last week, the board met in executive sessions to discuss village legal matters. Village Courtroom, 350 N. Main St., Port Chester.

Tuesday, May 22

Rye Brook Board of Trustees: 7:30 p.m. The Village of Rye Brook's Board of Trustees will meet. Among the items discussed will be the modification of the budget to repair a municipal truck. Rye Brook Village Hall, 938 King St., Rye Brook.

Youth Committee Cabaret Cafe: 3:30 p.m. The Port Chester Cares Community Coalition Youth Committee is putting on a cabaret cafe. The cabaret will feature acts from the Port Chester High School band, drama club, and ASPIRE after-school program. Port Chester Senior Center, 222 Grace Church St., Port Chester.

Foreign Language Honor Society Induction: 4 p.m. Students from Port Chester High School will be inducted into the Foreign Language Honor Society. Port Chester High School Room 229, 1 Tamarack Road, Port Chester.

Thursday, May 24

Tango by the Beach: 7 p.m. Rye residents are being invited to learn the tango on the Rye Town Park Beach. The lessons are being conducted by Rye resident and tango teacher Jill Doornick. Rye Town Park, Forest and Oakland Beach Avenue, Rye.

Friday, May 24

May Fun Club Day at the Rye YMCA: 9 a.m. Come to the Rye YMCA for a day jam-packed with fun. For $60, or $75 for nonmembers, children will be treated to a day of fun while schools are out. Parents are reminded not to forget to pack a bathing suit. Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Ave., Rye.
