What to Do in Port Chester This Weekend

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Check out the events happening this weekend in Port Chester and Rye Brook.

- Children ages 12 to 15 are invited to a night of skiing/snow boarding at Thunder Ridge courtesy of the Rye YMCA this Friday . The bus departs at 3:30 p.m. and returns at 10 p.m. Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for non-members and registration is required.

- Friday night is boys night in from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rye YMCA. Boys ages 5 to 11 are invited to participate in an evening of swimming, sports and games. Tickets range from $10 to $20 based on membership status.

- Pro Squash Tour's Buffalo Wild Wings Westchester Open begins Friday March 2 and runs through Sunday, March 4. Matches will take place at 800 Squash and Fitness on Westchester Avenue and will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday with the championship match taking place on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.

- The Rye YMCA's High School Teen Night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. offers area teens an opportunity for basketball, swimming (swim caps required), working out, video games or socializing with friends in the teen lounge. Members are free, non-members pay $5.

- Come to Ruby's Oyster Bar on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a cup of coffee with Assembly members George Latimer and Suzy Oppenheimer.

- The Friends of Rye Town Park will hold their spring fundraiser at Covleigh Club in Rye on Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening’s theme “make a splash” will call attention to safety, aesthetic and maintenance improvements to the duck pond at Rye Town Park.

- Enchanted Wishes fairy tale themed boutique will hold its grand opening at its new location at 111 Willet Ave. on Sunday.
