Port Chester High School's Rosie Veltri Takes Home Theater Award

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. – Westchester students took home several awards for their time on the high school stage at the 2013 Metropolitan High School Theater Awards earlier this week.

One of the biggest honors, Outstanding Overall Production, went to Harrison High School’s production of “Crazy for You.” 

The following awards were presented to Westchester schools and students at the Peekskill Paramount Theater on Monday:

Actress in a leading role Port Chester High School’s “Hairspray” – Rosie Veltri (Tracy Turnblad)

Actor in a leading role:  Archbishop Stepinac High School’s “Evita” – Chris Guzman (Che)

Actor in a Supporting Role Rye Neck High School’s “Sinin’ in the Rain” – Max Denenberg (Cosmo Brown)

Actress in a Supporting Role Westlake High School’s “Beauty and the Beast” – Emily Banks (Mrs. Potts)

Outstanding Instrumentalist Kennedy Catholic High School’s “The Pajama Game” – Michael Costa (Drums)

Outstanding Stage Crew Blind Brook High School’s “Seussical”

Outstanding Choreography Harrison High School’s “Crazy for You” – Deborah Toteda
