PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- Car horns blasted as motorists drove along Boston Post Road past the Verizon Wireless store where employees on strike marched in front." Honk If You Hate Corporate Greed, " read a banner strung between a telephone pole and a streetlamp.Wednesday was the fourth day of the strike for Verizon workers affiliated with the Communication Workers Association Local 1103. Workers are protesting proposed changes in their contracts which expired Saturday, particularly the removal of a job security clause."There is a danger of them (Verizon) outsourcing our work to other countries and contracting it out," said Verizon employee Caroline DiMezza and Local 1103 chief steward. "We just want them to bargain with us in good faith, and to keep our jobs in America."
