PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - As we turn the page on 2011, The Daily Port Chester is looking back, in no particular order, at the top 10 stories of the past year. Be on the lookout as we recap and update the top stories in Port Chester in 2011.

Port Chester Man Murdered

Anthony Guglielmo was stabbed to death on the morning of Sept. 11 in his home. Although the investigation is ongoing, Guglielmo's 14-year-old daughter was identified as a "person of interest" by the police department.

Port Chester Remembers 9/11

A crowd gathered at Lyon Park on the 10 year anniversary of the terrorist attacks that shook our nation to its core. It was a day of tribute, community and reflection.

Residents gathered to honor members of the New York City Police Department and Fire Department and the victims who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

Mayor Dennis Pilla, along with members of the Christian, Jewish and Islamic faiths, spoke to the crowd, offering their words of reflection.

"Let us never forget those who were lost," said Mayor Dennis Pilla, addressing the crowd. "But also the spirit that comes from within us when our back is to the wall."
