A crowd gathered at Lyon Park on the 10 year anniversary of the terrorist attacks that shook our nation to its core. It was a day of tribute, community and reflection.

Residents gathered to honor members of the New York City Police Department and Fire Department and the victims who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.

Mayor Dennis Pilla, along with members of the Christian, Jewish and Islamic faiths, spoke to the crowd, offering their words of reflection.

"Let us never forget those who were lost," said Mayor Dennis Pilla, addressing the crowd. "But also the spirit that comes from within us when our back is to the wall."
