  • Port Chester has declared a state of emergency effective through 6 p.m. Friday.  The executive order was signed by Village Manager Chris Steers late Wednesday night in anticipation of Thursday's storm. Possible suspension of parking regulations may be announced by noon Thursday. If possible, residents should keep their cars off village streets.
  • Westchester County police recovered 16 grams of cocaine, 10 glassine envelopes of heroin, 50 pipes used to smoke crack cocaine and arrested five people on related drug charges at an Ossining home this past weekend, police said.
  • Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has still not declared he will run for governor this fall, but visitors to RobAstorino.com might think otherwise.  A campaign committee for a potential Astorino gubernatorial bid launched a website Thursday that has the heading, "Rob Astorino for Governor."
  • The New York State Department of Transportation has issued a ban for all tractor-trailers on Interstate 84 between the Connecticut and Pennsylvania borders Thursday afternoon because of the snowstorm.
