Severe Thunderstorm Watch Is In Effect In Port Chester

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- For the second consecutive day, the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Westchester County until 7 p.m.

Scattered storms and showers are expected to move through the area, mainly after 5 p.m. Chance of showers during the day is around 30 percent. 

Rain and possible lightning become a little more likely into the evening hours before 11 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent into the night. 

Sun is expected to return on Friday with a high of 78.
