PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Village of Rye Brook will begin sidewalk replacement operations along the south bound lane of King Street beginning Thursday and continuing for approximately three weeks.
Construction will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The project may last longer if inclement weather affects the schedule.
Sidewalk work will be performed from 1004 King St. south to North Ridge Street and from 952 King St. south to Arbor Drive.
A modified traffic pattern with lane shifts in both the north and south direction of traffic will be set up in and around work zones. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained to the extent possible or permissible by New York State Department of Transportation. Periodic stopping of traffic may occur as necessary to accommodate trucks and equipment.
Residents and motorists are urged to plan their travel routes around this area of work.
