Rye Brook Road Resurfacing To Last Weeks

RYE BROOK, N.Y. – Road resurfacing has begun in Rye Brook and is due to last about three weeks, according to Michael Nowak, superintendent of public works.

During operations, road surfaces will be milled, curbs will be removed, and the road will be prepared for a new surface and curbing. Residents are advised not to place leaves in the roadway, which will slow paving operations. There will be limited road closures, congestion, and heavy equipment. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds when there are elevated sewer drains and storm drains to avoid damage to tires.

Here is a list of where resurfacing will occur, in their respective order:

  1. Jacqueline lane from the cul-de-sac to Rock Ridge Drive
  2. Bobbie Lane from North Ridge Street to Rock Ridge Drive
  3. Rock Ridge Drive from Bobbie to cul-de-sac
  4. Ridge Boulevard from North Ridge to Village Line
  5. Division Street from Bowman Ave to Westchester Avenue
  6. Roanoke from Westview Avenue to Dixon Street
  7. Wyman Street from South Ridge Street to Dead End
  8. Wyman Street North from Wyman Street to cul-de-sac

Roads may be open to traffic on one lane only and drivers should not ride on newly paved surfaces unless signaled. After roads are resurfaced curbing installation is expected to take a couple of weeks.
