RYE BROOK, N.Y. -- The Ridge Street bridge over 1-287 in Rye Brook will be closed Wednesday through Aug. 16 for construction.
Workers from the New York State Department of Transportation will be replacing the bridge deck. A signed detour will route traffic onto Westchester Avenue and Purchase Street.
Work will be accelerated on the project to complete construction during the summer months. Nighttime work is not planned, but there will be some nighttime work and lane closures on I-187 under the bridge. The DOT advises drivers to allow extra time for travel and plan their travel accordingly.
