Port Chester Waterfront Experiences Some Flooding

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - A section of Abendroth Road located on the Byram River waterfront in downtown Port Chester has been closed due to flooding from the latest rainstorm. According to the Port Chester Police Department, Abendroth is the only section of the village closed due to water accumulation.

Abendroth, which runs parallel to North Main Street, is closed from the end of the Valero Gas Station until it intersects with Adell Street. Water has spilled over from the roadway into the adjacent parking lot, eliminating the use of some parking space.

Members of the Police Department would not speculate as to when the flooding would dissipate and the roadway would be cleared. The Village's Department of Public Works could not be reached for immediate comment.
