Those who wish to participate in the runs can pre-register for a Children's Fun Run $5 (participants receive a superhero cape) or a 5K walk/run; $25 Adult, $5 child, or $50 family registration.
All proceeds will benefit the Rojas family. Paul Rojas has been a security guard at Port Chester Middle School for 14 years. His normally developing, healthy, active 7 year-old son, Brandon, received the diagnosis of ALD in June. This genetic disease leads to the deterioration of all faculties and eventual coma. It is a terminal condition with no cure.
Brandon loves all superheroes, especially Tony Stark/Ironman. The proceeds from this superhero themed event will benefit Brandon and his family and help pay for medical expenses, equipment, and travel expenses to get the best possible care for Brandon. It is also designed promote awareness of ALD.
