PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – A 74-year-old Port Chester man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of cocaine and heroin on Presidents Day after a sting operation conducted by the Port Chester Police Department and the Westchester County Police.

According to Lt. Jim Ladearious, Leroy Sims of Port Chester was spotted delivering a hand-to-hand drug transaction at approximately 2:30 p.m. Monday on the corner of Purdy Avenue before getting into his red Ford Explorer and driving away.

Police said Sims was pulled over and a search of the vehicle found five envelopes containing heroin and several other packages of tin foil containing cocaine. Sims has been charged with criminal possession of controlled substances in the third degree, a class B felony.
