PORT CHESTER, N.Y. -- The Port Chester-Rye Brook Library is hosting a special, free seminar Tuesday on navigating through the college-admissions process.
The seminar is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library at 1 Haseco Ave. in Port Chester, according to a news release. Applerouth Tutoring Services' Jill Steinberg and Open Door Educational Consultant Denise Baylis will host the free seminar.
Residents are invited to "learn about strategies that will help your teen successfully navigate the college admissions process," according to the release.
The session will also help students and parents learn which schools are the right fit, how to access financial aid and help teens achieve the top scores on college admissions exams such as the ACT and SAT, according to the release.
