Port Chester Man Charged With Exposing Himself at School

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – Scarsdale Officers arrested a Port Chester man this week at Greenacres Elementary School after he reportedly exposed himself on a playground bench, police said.

Jesus Alfaya, 26, was charged Tuesday with public lewdness – exposing one's private parts, and false personation, according to a Scarsdale Police report. He was taken to Westchester County Jail where he was held in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.

According to the report, police were called about 6 p.m. Tuesday to the area of the Greenacres School playground where a man was reportedly sitting on a park bench exposing himself.

The police report quoted a witness saying the man walked to the bench about 5:30 p.m., pulled his pants down to mid-thigh, sat down and put his hands over his genital area and appeared to be fondling himself. The witness said he then covered himself with a backpack and continued the motion.

Other witnesses, the report said, also confirmed seeing the man in the playground area, and one said she saw the man at about 5 p.m. pull his pants down near an area where children were gathered and sit down on the bench. Another witness said she had seen the man in the area before.

When police approached the man, according to the report, he was uncooperative and gave a false name. A search of the suspect turned up proper identification. Alfaya was placed under arrest and transported to Scarsdale Police Headquarters. He was arraigned and taken to Westchester County Jail.
